And it was seriously flawed!!! I did get a kick out of it though. I remember writing that post with both my little ones underfoot begging me for this and that. I ended up publishing it before proofing it. I highly recommend the Ball Complete Book of Home Canning. It simplifies the process and has tons of great recipes.Melissa Pricehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15855126813346312708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8685723366142370856.post-80044088848720452422010-07-01T10:12:55.966-05:002010-07-01T10:12:55.966-05:00Melissa,

My mother use to can and I use to have the wonderful task of sterilizing and setting up all the parts to get ready for the entire day of canning. I am itching to do it.....

Thanks for sharing your photos....The Mac's Househttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04216982420030770388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8685723366142370856.post-78478477420011290982010-06-30T20:12:28.324-05:002010-06-30T20:12:28.324-05:00Maura, I'll send you the recipe I used... real...Maura, I'll send you the recipe I used... really, you can use any bread and butter recipe and substitute the squash. Our plums are just coming ripe so my Dear Hubby just brought the canner up to the house and some pint jars so sometime over the next week I know what I'll be doing! Those squash pickles look good...I'm going to look those up on the internet and see about making some of those. I've got a lot of yellow squash and there's only two of us and there's only so much you can give away ;) Looks like you're keeping busy....I hope you and your family have a wonderful 4th of July! Take care.....Maura :)Maura @ Kisiwa Creek Photographyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10992187526413563417noreply@blogger.com
