I'll do as many as I can manage, then I'll ration them out come winter. And I HIGHLY recommend the book. It's FULL of wonderful recipes, canning instructions geared toward newbies, and tips for veteran canners. I love my copy! Have a great week!

Diane, we're also in the midst of a drought. I've babied my tomatoes and peppers as much as possible, but the rest has fallen victim to the lack of water. It's depressing, isn't it? Praying for rain (we got a good shower this evenign! YAY!) for both of us. : ) MelissaMelissa Pricehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15855126813346312708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8685723366142370856.post-27013400788883719172010-07-06T15:10:17.097-05:002010-07-06T15:10:17.097-05:00Oh Yum! I'm watering and praying that my garden will produce something other than weeds! Hope you are doing well.Diane@Peaceful Acreshttp://butterfliesandbumblebees.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8685723366142370856.post-36334570861803035692010-07-06T06:46:02.178-05:002010-07-06T06:46:02.178-05:00Oh Melissa your tomatoes look wonderful! It's ...Oh Melissa your tomatoes look wonderful! It's been well over 10 years since I did any canning so I'm starting from scratch with only 1 doz pint jars to make some jam. I love canning jars too...I used to have so many. The most canning I did of one veggie was over 50 jars of dill pickles...they never lasted the year! Canning was always a big thing every year. That book looks like a good one..I don't have my canning book anymore so I'm REALLY starting over but seeing your tomatoes in the jars really makes me want to get at it. Thanks for the inspiration! I hope you have a wonderful Monday...Maura :)Maura @ Kisiwa Creek Photographyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10992187526413563417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8685723366142370856.post-53413392469565839612010-07-05T19:34:07.588-05:002010-07-05T19:34:07.588-05:00I have a similar obsession...nothing more beautifu...I have a similar obsession...nothing more beautiful and satisfying than a pantry full of home-canned goodies!

Your tomatoes look scrumptious...Kiminadvertent farmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04383463809397445258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8685723366142370856.post-9905837135757379312010-07-05T19:22:20.225-05:002010-07-05T19:22:20.225-05:00I can't think of anything more inviting than a...I can't think of anything more inviting than a pantry filled with home-canned goodies!

Blessings, RhettaRhetta @ On Raspberry Hillhttp://raspberryhill.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
